Stay

The London West Hollywood, 1020 N San Vicente Blvd, West Hollywood, CA

Designed by the late award-winning London-based architect David Collins, The London West Hollywood merges Brit-cool with trendy LA. Prepare to be spoilt by spacious suites and oversized bathrooms, and if you’re feeling particularly fancy, book the penthouse – it was designed by Vivienne Westwood and at 11,000sq ft, is the biggest in the city.

But what you really come here for is the panoramic view from the rooftop pool.

Eat

Cal Mare, 8500 Beverly Boulevard, Beverly Center, Ground Floor, Los Angeles

Adam Sobel and Michael Mina have brought this Italian seafood concept to Los Angeles after doing trial runs in San Francisco. Nestled into the ground floor of the Beverly Center, which is currently going through a major remodel, expect creative crudos, fresh mozzarella with caviar, whole grilled fish, Neapolitan pizzas, and pastas that’ll reach a wide range of diners.

Do

At the crossroads of hip West Hollywood and bouji Beverly Hills, is the heart of LA: Sunset Strip, the ultimate rock ’n roll hangout, where you can party at the iconic nightclub The Roxy; Hollywood Boulevard, the home of the Walk of Fame; or if you are feeling “arty”, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) with its resident and temporary exhibitions, and the famous light installation by controversial artist Chris Burden.
